How to pick a college

I recently read an article that gave some helpful information on how to pick a college. The first thing they said was to follow the acronym REACH: Region, Estimated costs, Academics, Campus life and Housing. This acronym helps me to prioritize what to look for when looking for colleges. I will deffinatly take this article into concideration when looking for colleges.
The article first talked about the region that your college is in. I really liked how it mentioned that you should concider your free time when you look for colleges so that you can prioritize your time on the weekends. I aslo liked how it mentioned that when you visit a college you should try and imagin yourself there, and that it will help in your decision making.

  1. Nice way to tie in the REACH acronym. You should definitely look at the academics and make sure the college is accredited in the major you're interested in. Also, helpful to look at the teacher-student ratio.
